We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Plant Accountant within our Finance team in Tarjan, Hungary. The Plant Accountant has a leading role is branch accounting work, ensuring the accuracy of sales process (customer invoicing) and financial statements in compliance with accounting standards, Corporate policies and procedures, internal controls and local statutory requirements. Duties include maintaining the accuracy of both the sales and general ledger related financial statements, coordinating relevant aspects of the financial close process, performing account reconciliations and analysis to verify accuracy, journal entries, completing and issuing Corporate reporting, liaising with Corporate functions, maintaining relevant internal controls, addressing audit requirements and processing & reporting to meet local and Corporate tax requirements. This role will also provide first-level support to Administrator staff.
What will you be doing as a Plant Accountant?
- Ensure proper revenue recognition, maintenance of customer data and credit monitoring

Record transactions of bank account and business cards- Perform branch accounting activities and take a leading role in the financial closing process – journal entries, reconciliations, review, controls, reports etc.
- Complete Corporate reporting as needed (ongoing and ad hoc)
- Perform local tax accounting and reporting
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’ degree in accountancy, finance, or equivalent area
- Practical experience in Finance and Accounting is an advantage
- Demonstrated understanding and application of accounting concepts
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Attention to detail, accuracy, reliability
- Ability to work in a team environment and a high level of self-motivation
- Creative thinking and strong problem solving skills
- Strong English, especially in the field of accounting
